 Who is Holly?

 

I’m Holly—a nurse, wellness coach, wife, and mom in early perimenopause. After struggling to find solutions for my own symptoms, I became passionate about helping women like you understand hormone changes and thrive during this season of life.

But I didn't always have a clear plan, and I didn't always understand hormones.

My own health took a huge hit a few years ago. I was absolutely exhausted (but couldn't sleep), anxious and irritable, had had weekly migraines and I had gained weight that I just couldn't lose. I felt horrible.

And what was worse, I had no energy or enthusiasm for my family or the life that I knew I should be loving.

After 3 appointments with 3 different providers and more than a year, I was told I was in the late stage of perimenopause. I was 40 years old. 

Even as a nurse and a wellness leader, I was blindsided by perimenopause, and then struggled to find the information and resources I needed. 

That is how Menopause Master Plan came to be- because every woman should have access to menopause education and care. Every woman deserves to feel good, and to to live a long, strong life.

Module Breakdown

Welcome!

 Welcome! I share my story, why I'm so determined to help and guide you through this journey, and what you can expect to learn and gain from the course. 

Step 1: KNOWLEDGE

 KNOWLEDGE: you cannot make informed choices or changes to your life, if you don't first understand what is happening with hormones and to your body during perimenopause. I use my 16 years of experience as a nurse to walk you through these changes, and explain clearly and simply how changing hormones create body changes, mood and mental health imbalances, and increased disease risk. And I'll of course give you simple action items for how to lose weight and manage symptoms, while also staying strong, calm, focused and healthy through it all.

Step 2: NOURISH

 NOURISH: here I'll walk you through the details of food, exercise, sleep, stress and  cortisol. We build on the hormone knowledge you gained in the previous module, and I will teach you exactly how and what to eat. This section includes detailed lessons on fasting for women and timed nutrition. (Did you know that nearly all of the research on the benefits of fasting was done on men? Which means that research doesn't apply to women!) Instead, I'll teach you what does work for women when it comes to health, hormones and weight loss for women in midlife. 

Step 3: STRENGTHEN

 STRENGTHEN:  here I'll show you how to exercise, how to manage stress and how to lower cortisol in order to feel better, lose / manage hormonal weight gain, and create the body and life you want. If you feel like all the things that used to work just aren't working anymore, that's because women in perimenopasue need a very different, very specific approach to exercise and weight. I 'll walk you though exactly what to do in order to burn fat, build muscle, and stay lean, energized and healthy.

Step 4: TREAT

HORMONE THERAPY & MORE: I walk you through the study from the 2000s that changed everything, and created the huge scare around hormones for menopause treatment. I'll explain approved reasons to use hormones, clear contraindications, how to know if hormone therapy could help you, and how to talk to your doctor about this option (even if they don't want to talk about it with you).

Onward & Inward

 ONWARD & INWARD: because the transition to menopause doesn't need to be all bad. There is a tremendous amount of growth, knowledge and purpose that comes with the hormone changes of this season. I'll share with you how to recognize and foster it so that you can come out on the other side spiritually and emotionally stronger than you've ever been.
